Medicinal Use Methods
Cannabis can have a variety of effects and varies greatly on your body and it's unique biochemistry. When you are determining the optimal dosage, we always recommend starting small. Our goal is to guide you to the method and product that offers the best therapeutic benefits and experience for you as an individual. There is more than one way to take your holistic medicine but our goal is to guide you to the experience and method that is right for you.
Combustion:
This is the most common type of cannabis delivery method. It comes in dried, raw flower form which can be smoked or vaporized. Both methods provide the fastest onset of relief with a 1-5 minute window and a duration of 1-4 hours. Vaporization:
This is the recommended form or combustion because it minimized the risks associated with smoking as well as preventing the release of harmful particulate. Concentrates & Oils/Tintures:
With tinctures and oils, you are able to effectively self-titrate which means gradually adjust the dosage to eventually find the perfect dosage for your specific condition and systems. Depending on your dosage and intake method, onset varies anywhere from 5-30 minutes and can last 1-6 hours. |
Edibles:
Edibles typically come in the form of lozenges, chewable candies, baked goods or capsules. These are a popular alternative to smoking because they offer relief without respiratory irritation. While onset takes closer to 30 minutes, they offer longer symptom relief lasting about 6-8 hours. Topicals:
Topical lotions and salves are preparations infused with cannabis. When applied, it is absorbed through the skin to target localized pain and inflammation. This is a great alternative for those who prefer non-psychoactive therapeutic benefits (without the THC high.) Topical salves have a 1-2 hour onset time with 6-12 hour relief duration. |
